Piccole Donne e
In
Piccole Donne Crescono: riassunto breve svolto in inglese
Three years have passed, Meg and John Brooke marry and learn how to live together. The couple will live in a modest house and will have twins, Demi and Daisy. Meg is a devoted mother but John begins to feel left out. Jo decides she needs a break and spends six months with a friend of her mother in New York City, serving as governess for her two children. She has success earning money with her writing and she also takes German lessons with Professor Bhaer, who lives in the house. Meanwhile, however, Jo returns home and finds bad news because Beth's health has seriously deteriorated. Jo devotes her time to the care of her little sister. Beth dies leaving a
gaping hole in the heart of her elder sister who has always been linked to her in a special way. Beth's death pushes Jo to concentrate on writing what she knows more: her family. Amy's fate is different: she goes on a European tour with her aunt. Laurie and his grandfather also go to Europe. Laurie encounters Amy in Europe and with the news of Beth's death, they meet for consolation and their romance grows. They marry before returning home from Europe. At the end of the novel, Professor Bhaer arrives at the Marche's, stays for two weeks and proposed to Jo. Aunt March dies, leaving Plumfield to Jo. She and Bhaer turn the house into a school for boys. They have two sonn of theie own, instead, Amy and Laurie have a daughter. In this book, the sisters have grown up and so Piccole Donne Crescono tells a different reality compared to the past.
